Zara Tindall displays skill and determination at Defender Burghley
Zara and Class
Affair set out meaning business, with a point to prove.
Flying around
the course, Zara sensibly chose to take the long route at the Leaf
Pit combination, which has been her nemesis more than once, and on
this occasion made light work of it – to the delight of the crowds.
She was nearly unseated
jumping in to the Trout Hatchery but sat tight and kicked on. Things
were looking good, Class Affair jumping well until he left a leg at
the second of the Rolex Corners, tipping Zara out of the saddle.
Horse and rider were unharmed.
For the third year running, Zara's competition ends on cross-country day.
