About Burghley TV
Burghley TV combines uninterrupted livestream footage of this most prestigious CCI5* event with expert commentary, analysis and behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.
As well as all the live action of Defender Burghley; from the first horse inspection on 30 August to the final prize-giving on 3 September, Burghley TV includes an exclusive preview of the cross-country course, designed for the first time this year by the USA’s Derek di Grazia! In-depth interviews with some of the sport’s most popular characters, including an ‘At Home’ feature with reigning champion and Rolex Grand Slam winner Pippa Funnell.
Burghley TV will be a much more detailed and ambitious production than other “event livestreams”, with the outstanding TV presenter Nick Luck fronting an entertaining and informative daily magazine programme from Defender Burghley during the event, alongside “roving reporter” Rosie Tapner.
The renowned Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse Final, this year judged by Andrew Nicholson, will also be livestreamed, as will some of Defender Burghley’s exciting main arena demonstrations, with Carl Hester, Katie Jerram-Hunnable, Yogi Breisner and Richard Waygood.
For anyone wishing to “watch again”, a replay service will also be available on Burghley TV, with dressage footage quickly online after each session and cross-country rounds not long after completion.
A comprehensive library of historic Defender Burghley Horse Trials footage, stretching back to 1990 will also be part of the Burghley TV package.
Burghley TV is the official place to watch live coverage of Defender Burghley Horse Trials in 2023 and is a subscription based streaming service.
Buying a Burghley TV subscription gives you uninterrupted access to all of our exclusive coverage from the competition, for 12 months from when you first subscribe. This includes access to exclusive pre-event content including the cross country course preview, special pre-event features, livestream during the event, a daily round-up magazine programme, expert commentary and insights.
You will also be able to access our archive of previous years’ competitions, stretching back to 1990. Full footage from the 2019 & 2022 events, including all the dressage, cross country and show jumping rounds will be available.
Watch Live: our online livestreaming service will show all the live action during each phase of Defender Burghley Horse Trials in full.
Complete coverage will begin with the first horse inspection on Wednesday 30 August 2023.
In addition we will also be streaming the final of the Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse competition on Friday 1 September 2023.
Subscription to Burghley TV also means you can watch the action again at any time of day or night with our replay service.
An annual subscription to Burghley TV costs £20.00
