Thursday Lunchtime: Smart test riding with Bettina Hoy

Bettina Hoy is one of the greatest names of German eventing, with three OIympic Games, five World Equestrian Games and 10 European Championship appearances. A prolific coach who has trained riders all over the world, we will see her coaching talented Under 21 event rider Josh Levett and former Under 21 team member Barnie Brotherton.

"I've gained a lot of knowledge thanks to some amazing trainers I've been lucky enough to work with, including my father," says Bettina. "It's great to put all that knowledge together and pass that on."

Thursday end of Dressage: GBR's European Championship riders
Britain's nominated riders for the Agria Blenheim European Championships later this month include some stellar names who are well known to Burghley, namely double Olympic gold medallist Tom McEwen and Laura Collett, Yasmin Ingham, Piggy March, Bubby Upton and Caroline Harris.

We are delighted to welcome members of Britain's squad to demonstrate some dressage here at Burghley in a big stadium setting. We are very proud to have such talented combinations representing GB and demonstrating their talents here for us at Defender Burghley.

Friday Lunchtime: Carl Hester with special guests Tom McEwen & Richard Davison
Three icons from the worlds of dressage and eventing combine in this masterclass to demonstrate the differences between top-level eventing dressage and pure grand prix dressage. Multi-Olympic medallist Carl Hester is joined by his former team mate Richard Daviso, and fellow Defender Ambassador and double Olympic gold medallist Tom McEwen, and will no doubt have Burghley visitors enthralled as usual.
