Boodles celebrates summer season with new equestrian sponsorship
Luxury brand will partner with Defender Burghley Horse Trials.
Boodles, Britain’s foremost fine jeweller since 1798, has today (12 August 2022) announced a significant sponsorship agreement with leading equestrian and social event - Defender Burghley Horse Trials (1 – 4 September 2022)
The British luxury jeweller will sponsor one of Defender Burghley’s iconic cross country fences, formerly known as Anniversary Splash, which will be renamed the Boodles Raindance after one of the brand’s best loved, fine jewellery collections.
Boodles will also host a bespoke trade stand, built and designed by Garden House Design and situated in a prime position within Burghley’s renowned ‘pop up’ shopping village; enabling the event’s 170,000 visitors to browse and shop for exquisitely crafted and uniquely designed gems.
Commenting on the new sponsorship James Amos, Director of Boodles said:
“We have always loved getting involved with classic British summertime events, from tennis, to racing, to eventing... it gives us a chance to entertain our customers and meet some new ones - and it's definitely more fun than sitting in a shop!
“Our association with Burghley goes back 25 years, and we have had plenty of success over the years selling jewellery in the middle of a muddy field! But it goes without saying that we are thrilled to have ratcheted up our involvement with the event this year, and we hope to stay involved for many years to come. Look out for the Boodles Raindance fence on the cross-country course!”
Martyn Johnson, Event Director for Defender Burghley Horse Trials added:
“It is fantastic to announce this further association with Boodles. As a quintessentially British brand that exemplifies the very best of jewellery design and craftsmanship, we believe Boodles shares many core values with the Horse Trials and we look forward to celebrating the end of the British summer season together.”
