17 and 18 - Defender at the Dairy Farm

Crossing the Cutting, they will gallop up the hill to Defender at the Dairy Farm (17 and 18). The Dairy Mound is being tackled in the opposite direction this year and poses a very diferent question. The churn table is big and wide and should set competitors up well for the turn up the ramp to the corner at the top of the Dairy Mound. They will need to know their line here as the corner will come up fast once at the top. Once over the corner they will have three strides to the log at the edge of the Dairy Mound. A few strides away at the bottom of the slope is a very acutely angled big log. They will want to keep control of the mound so they can make the turn and hold their line to the log. There is a longer option should they run into trouble along the way.
