Defender to Celebrate 20th Anniversary as Burghley Sponsor - and Beyond!
Burghley Horse Trials is delighted that Defender’s title sponsorship of the event is set to continue after the signing of a multi-year agreement. This will take the partnership into its third decade.
Defender Burghley Horse Trials is one of the world’s most prestigious equestrian events, and one of only seven at the very highest level – CCI5* — in eventing. Defender Burghley always attracts the very best horses and riders, and is famous for its rolling terrain and challenging cross-country course; attributes which meld perfectly with the off-road capabilities of the Defender.
Land Rover’s association with Burghley has been established for many years. The company has been the official vehicle supplier to the event since the early 1990s, and became title sponsor in 2005. The Defender is showcased at the heart of the Lincolnshire event, with a striking and innovative stand, and the Defender Experience – which offers visitors the chance to experience first-hand Defender’s capability over dynamic display equipment on the South side of Burghley’s lake. Land Rover owners also enjoy exclusive parking at Burghley and this year a fleet of miniature Defenders will be on site, for our younger drivers to enjoy.
