Event Update

Following the recent government roadmap announcement and since then the update regarding the cancellation of Badminton Horse Trials, we continue to receive many enquiries about plans for our own event. Despite much encouraging news regarding the vaccination roll out and all the associated ‘positives’, we do still acknowledge that it is difficult to hold up a crystal ball at this stage regarding the safe return to staging large scale outdoor events which remains uncertain.

Our aspiration continues to be able to run the event and all associated equestrian competitions in Ring 2. We are evaluating several scenarios, including an option of welcoming only a limited number of spectators and exhibitors. Events on greenfield sites often require long lead times to plan in advance of commencing work and it is paramount we continue our focus on the health and safety of all in our community including our athletes and those closely involved in the preparation and running of the competition. This will remain our endeavour whilst remaining as flexible as possible to both government and wider public health concerns.
