Safety and Security at Defender Burghley Horse Trials 2025

Delivering a safe and secure event is our top priority

We do everything we can to ensure you have a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience at Defender Burghley Horse Trials. We work closely with the police and local authority and have a range of measures to help keep you safe. These include our trained security teams, bag searches, vehicle searches and K9 units, as well as other measures which are not so visible. Our event stewards and control room are always on the lookout for those who need assistance, so don’t be surprised if they pop up and say hello. If you see anything unusual, trust your instincts and report it immediately to one of our many stewards, security team or police officers.

On Arrival

We ask all guests to be prepared to have their vehicle and/or bag searched upon entry to the venue and/or some other areas on-site.
