Plastic Reduction at Defender Burghley

With Defender Burghley’s commitment to reducing single-use plastic at the event in mind, we would like to advise all those on our accredited media list to bring your own refillable water bottles to this year’s event. These can be refilled from large water coolers provided in the Media Centre.

Please also feel free to bring re-usable cups with lids for hot drinks.

Defending Champion Leads Entries For 2019 Defender Burghley Horse Trials

Defending champion, Tim Price from New Zealand, heads the entries for the 2019 Defender Burghley Horse Trials, which takes place on 5^th – 8^th September. He’ll be accompanied by his Badminton-winning wife Jonelle and between them they will be bringing five horses to compete; laying down the gauntlet to the rest of the world’s leading event riders.

Defender Burghley Horse Trials Launch "Face of Burghley" Model Competition

The Defender Burghley organisers have launched the “Face of Burghley 2019” - a search to find an amateur male and female model who encapsulate the verve, style and values of the event. The winning models will star in a professional photoshoot and feature in Defender Burghley’s 2020 marketing campaign.
