Dubarry Extends Sponsorship For Further Three Years
Leading country footwear and clothing brand Dubarry has today announced that it will be renewing its sponsorship of the Burghley Young Event Horse Series for a further three years.
The competition, which has been a core part of Defender Burghley for over 30 years, consists of a series of countrywide qualifying events, culminating in the Finals at the Event. The classes aim to identify young horses, which will make it to the top in World Class company.
Previous finalists include Primmore’s Pride (Badminton & Burghley winner), Team GB stalwart Miner’s Frolic, Ceylorlan who represented GB in the Rio Olympics and this year’s winner of Defender Burghley, Ballaghmor Class, who was a Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse finalist in 2012.
Michael Walsh, Marketing Director at Dubarry commented: ““We are delighted to extend our sponsorship of the Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse Series in a new three-year agreement. Burghley Horse Trials is the highlight of our event season calendar and this year we very proudly unveiled our new Dubarry Boot show jump, which will feature in the jumping phase of this competition for many years to come.
“We are extremely pleased to be associated with an event that acknowledges and encourages the important role of breeders and trainers in producing the type of young horse that will be considered to have the scope to make a world class three-day event horse.”
Elizabeth Inman, Event Director of Defender Burghley, added: “We could not be more pleased to extend this partnership. 2018 will see the 10th year of our association with Dubarry and our Young Event Horse classes. This longstanding support has helped retain the competition as a real shop window to view potential ‘world class’ horses at four and five years of age.”
