Defender Challenges Burghley Horse Trials Visitors to Create the Ultimate Tailgate Picnic
Ahead of this year’s Defender Burghley Horse Trials, taking place on 5-8 September, title sponsor Defender has collaborated with chef Simon Rogan and Event Rider Zara Tindall to encourage Burghley spectators to go the extra mile with their picnics this year.
The Defender Burghley Horse Trials has become almost as synonymous with picnicking as it has world class equestrian sport and the Defender Tailgate Picnic Competition - which traditionally takes place on cross-country day (Saturday) - has become a popular feature among horse trial goers.
To inspire this year’s Burghley picnickers, Defender, whose vehicles are renowned for their famous tailgate - a feature that is commonly used as the perfect accessory for a picnic, has worked with Simon to create four delicious picnic recipes.
