Warwickshire leap to the top

The Warwickshire Hunt triumphed for the second year in row when they won the LeMieux Pony Club Team Jumping competition this afternoon. The quartet did not dislodge a single rail between them in eight rounds of jumping, leaving them on a zero score.

The Belvoir also finished on a completely clean sheet to take second place — albeit they used up their discard score in both rounds and were slightly slower on the clock.

The West Norfolk and the Newmarket and Thurlow both finished on a total of four penalties, but the former pipped the latter to third place courtesy of a faster time.

The Atherstone branch finished fifth, while the Puckeridge completed the top six.

Results

1st: Warwickshire — Charlotte Franck-Steier (Why Tell), Tillie Orton (NVS Hailsee), Izzy Franck-Steier (Expresso III) and Tom Hutsby (Zodiac Z).

2nd: Belvoir — Hope Mussell (OSH Phoenix), Margot Mack (Master Ping), Olivia Cave (As Cool As Cobra) and Abi Stocker (Briggdens Clever Trevor).

3rd: West Norfolk — Rosie Ringer (Quarry Man), Robbie Bell (Socs Cavalier), Ella Cook (Diego Del Fire) and Kirsty Saunderson (Olly Olly Olly).

4th: Newmarket and Thurlow — Lily Wittich (El Gaucho DHI), Lola Burlton (Jalanda EBH), Ella Plumb (Genia) and Victoria Hawkes (All On Black Jack).

5th: Atherstone — Ellie Mae Tilley (Alignment), Ruby Dewes (Flying Gul), Isabella Moreton (Coeverssa Du Rouet) and Gracie Tomkins (CHS Royal Flush).

6th: Puckeridge — Monique Sharp (Hathaway Strider), Poppy Watson (Kilconly Cove), Poppy Orr (Bonnie) and Zara Clark (Rickamore Royal).
