She lies in equal fifth place on 24.4, the same score as Oliver Townend and Cooley Rosalent. “I was just having too much fun and got a movement ahead of myself – it was a bit of a blond moment.” Max is a former racehorse with strong five-star form, finishing seventh at Maryland last autumn and matching that at Kentucky this spring.
