BURGHLEY TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE - IN E-TICKET FORMAT

Defender Burghley Horse Trials’ box office is now open. Members’ tickets for the autumn event, which takes place from 31 August-3 September 2023, go on sale today (Thursday, 27 April) at 9am, and all other tickets can be purchased from Friday, 28 April.

For the first time, the majority of tickets for this year’s Defender Burghley will be issued as e-tickets, rather than in printed form. The box office is also being brought in-house, so all sales and queries will be handled in person by Burghley Horse Trials’ office staff. E-ticket holders may enter the event via special car channels, to minimise queuing behind those buying on-the-day tickets.

To buy tickets to this highlight of the autumn rural calendar, which takes place in the spectacular setting of Burghley Park outside Stamford, Lincolnshire, please visit the event website, www.burghley-horse.co.uk. All information regarding ticket options, prices and hospitality can be found on the website. The box office for members’ tickets closes on 20 August.

Martyn Johnson, Defender Burghley Horse Trials’ Director, said: “After a highly successful first post-Covid event in 2022, we are looking forward to welcoming our many friends and supporters, old and new, to Burghley in September. We are determined to keep raising the standards of what we can offer visitors to our fantastic event, and I hope that everyone will notice some enhancements to their experience this year.

“We are always seeking to improve, and the move to e-ticketing for 2023 is a positive one. It chimes with our aims towards sustainability and waste reduction, and should help traffic flow when entering Burghley. We are expecting an exceptionally high-quality field of horses and riders from all over the world to compete for what will be the richest first prize in eventing of £110,000, and we cannot wait to showcase our superb blend of top-class sport and outstanding shopping and entertainment.”
